At Papakura Central School we are really lucky to be a Duffy School. This means that we get free books for our kids thanks to Scholastic and The Warehouse Stationary - Wairau Park. As part of this we get given special books for some extra special awards. Soon it will be Father's Day so the next special award is the Scholastic Caught Being a Good Dad Award. National Poetry Day
It's National Poetry Day!!
Poetry is something that can be a bit tricky to understand. The cool thing is though just about anything can be a poem. We have this really cool book in the library called "I'm just no good at Rhyming". It is really great at showing the different types of poems. Here is a picture of the cover so you can look for it when the library is open.
